My name is Hans Menop. I live in the small town Barchem in the Netherlands together with my family. Besides my hobby as a photographer, I am the proud owner of a cattle farm.
My passion for nature and wildlife started at a young age when I was still in primary school. During my spare time I would love to spend time enjoying nature. At the age of 16 I decided to buy my first camera and lens, because I wanted to capture the beauty of nature, and birds in particular. Thanks to my early interest in photography, I became the youngest member of the Nature Photography Guild in the Netherlands.
Aside from nature- and bird photography, I have an interest in cow photography. This interest actually developed into a professional activity. I regularly make pictures for different specialty magazines and societies abroad.
It was only natural to extend the passion I’ve had since I was a young boy into a professional activity as well. I started my own business: Hans Menop Freelance Fotografie. I specialize in rural areas and outdoor photography. My work is regularly published in magazines like Noaber, Buitenleven, Seasons and Ariadne.
